This book is a very good example why men and women usually don’t like each other’s fiction. Water for Elephants has all the looks of a good read for men. We like circuses and we all wish we would have run off and joined one. We like beautiful women, coochie dancers and we like depression era storie when men were men and women wore garter belts and nylons with the seam up the back. This book has all that, plus wild animals and a stampede. But the story is lame. Okay the horse dies and the elephant shows up: but just one What circus has one elephant? But you women seem to love it. Someday I figure you out. Love my Kindle
